Too bad I didn’t grow up as the son of the Maytag Man, since I knew nothing about appliances. Confronted with my dead oven, I flipped the circuit breaker hoping that would re-set things, but no luck. I called the repair service, and when the technician came he pulled the unit out of the cabinet about six inches, hit a re-set button, and slid everything back into place. In about three minutes he was done, after which he gave me a bill for $142.50.
